A muezzin in Erzincan, Turkey, had a close call with a pack of wolves while on his way to the Saray Mosque. Thanks to his quick thinking and a stick in his hand, he was able to survive the encounter.
The incident was captured on security cameras in the neighborhood, showing Caglar Kaleli facing off against four wolves. When the wolves approached him, Kaleli bravely stood his ground and swung his stick, causing one of the wolves to retreat into a nearby garden.
“I had a stick in my hand, I hit my foot on the ground and entered the garden of the house on the other side,” Kaleli recounted. “Thank God we prevented him from approaching me, he jumped into the garden as soon as he saw me.”
Despite the frightening situation, Kaleli remained calm and was able to fend off the wolves without any harm to himself. His determination and bravery in the face of danger saved him from a potentially dangerous situation.
The community is grateful that Kaleli was unharmed and able to continue his duties as the muezzin of the Saray Mosque. His story serves as a reminder of the importance of staying calm and acting swiftly in moments of crisis.
