Suspect in Kidnapping Case Apprehended
A man wanted for kidnapping for the purpose of obtaining money since 2021 has been detained in the Uzgen district of the Osh region, according to the press center of the State Committee for National Security.
The organized crime group, including the man in question, kidnapped a resident of Batken district in December 2020 and demanded $20,000 from him. The victim was abducted in a Mercedes-Benz car, and the kidnappers resisted the legitimate demands of the State Committee for National Security to stop. The victim managed to escape, and the man was then put on the wanted list.
The State Committee is currently conducting investigative and operational search activities to establish any other criminal actions on the part of this group of individuals. The detainee is now in custody, and the authorities are working to ensure that justice is served.
