
Suspicious Toy Grenade Discovered at Manas Airport

A Toy Grenade Found at Manas Airport in Kyrgyzstan
On January 9, a scare unfolded at Manas airport in Bishkek when a suspicious object resembling a grenade was discovered among construction materials near DOPPIO cafe on the second floor of the building. Thankfully, it was later confirmed to be a harmless toy grenade.
The Main Department of Internal Affairs of Chui region and the Department of Internal Affairs of Sokuluk district quickly responded to the situation, evacuating citizens and cordoning off the airport while conducting investigative and operational activities. A team of sappers was also deployed to the scene to ensure the area was safe.
Authorities are now reviewing video footage from security cameras at Manas airport in an effort to identify and apprehend those responsible for placing the toy grenade. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of remaining vigilant and reporting any suspicious items or activities to the authorities.
