
Suzak Authorities Detain Members of Extremist Organization Hizb ut-Tahrir

Bishkek – The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) has successfully suppressed the activities of active members of the religious extremist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir al Islami in the Suzak district. According to a report from the SCNS press center, six individuals who were actively promoting extremist ideology in Bek-Abad village were detained.
During the operation, extremist literature, leaflets, mobile phones, and electronic media containing extremist materials were confiscated. The detainees were known to systematically engage in propaganda and recruit new members into the organization.
The suspects have been placed in the pre-trial detention center of the SCNS. Hizb ut-Tahrir al Islami is a banned organization in Kyrgyzstan, and authorities continue to work diligently to combat extremist activities in the region.
