Tajikistan Mandates Russian Language in Kindergartens

Bishkek – 24.kg news agency reported that mandatory learning of the Russian language is being introduced in kindergartens in Tajikistan. This decision was announced by Minister of Education and Science Rahim Saidzoda during a press conference in Dushanbe.

According to the Minister, a standard curriculum for kindergartens in the country has already been developed. He stated that the learning of Russian and English will now be compulsory in all preschool institutions in Tajikistan.

Teachers will be responsible for teaching children these languages twice a week. Additionally, for children who do not speak Tajik, lessons of the state language will also be introduced to ensure their linguistic development.

This new initiative aims to improve language skills among young children and provide them with a strong foundation for future academic success.
