Tashkent’s Yunusabad Flooding: Major Water Pipeline Burst Causes Outages

A malfunction in a large water conduit network in the Yunusabad district of the capital city has caused streets to be filled with water and disrupted the water supply for a significant portion of the area.

The Tashkent City Water Supply reported that a d1200mm large water conduit burst at the intersection of Moikurgon Street and Korakamish Street in the district. As a result, the water supply has been temporarily halted in the Tiklanish neighborhood 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, the narrow streets, Gishtkurgon streets, Astrobod mahalla, Turkiston, Sobirobod mahallas, Zenit factory, Prosecutor’s Academy, and the Brewery. This disruption has affected institutions, enterprises, and organizations in the area as well.

Emergency response teams are currently working to fix the malfunction and restore the water supply. In the meantime, water will be delivered to affected addresses by special vehicles.

Residents in the Yunusabad district are advised to stay updated on the situation and take necessary precautions until the water supply is fully restored.
