Tax Service Awarded $1.4 Million Grant for New Information Systems
On June 12, 2024, the Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan announced its plans to create two new systems with the help of a grant from the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD). The agreement for this grant was ratified by the Parliament in the second and third readings.
The EFSD will be providing $1,450 million to the Tax Service for this project. The aim of this grant is to implement a project focused on the development of an automated information system for categorization of taxpayers called “Taxpayer Rating” and a module for the digital profile of the taxpayer.
According to the background statement provided with the bill, the funding will be used to create and introduce an automated information system within the Tax Service. This system will categorize taxpayers based on statistical and mathematical models and will also develop a module for a digital taxpayer profile.
This initiative is expected to streamline and improve the efficiency of tax collection and management in Kyrgyzstan. With the implementation of these new systems, the Tax Service hopes to better serve taxpayers and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
