TBMM Speaker Kurtulmuş to Continue Discussions on New Constitution
Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, has begun his visits as part of the new constitution studies with political parties that have groups in the Parliament. Kurtulmuş recently met with officials from the AK Party, CHP, MHP, İYİ Party, DEM Party, and Saadet Party.
In the upcoming week, Kurtulmuş is scheduled to meet with officials from parties that are represented in the Parliament but do not have a group. He will be meeting with party leaders and officials in his office on Tuesday, June 4 and Wednesday, June 5, to hear their opinions on the new constitution.
After his discussions with parties that have groups in the Parliament, Kurtulmuş emphasized the importance of parties finalizing their proposals during the summer months. He stated that debates on the content of the new constitution could commence after October, once the new legislative period begins.
The meetings between Kurtulmuş and political parties aim to gather a range of perspectives and input on the development of the new constitution. With a focus on collaboration and dialogue, these discussions will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Turkey’s political landscape.
