Teenage girl rescued from month-long sexual slavery in Osh City
A 15-year-old girl in Osh city has been found to have been held in sexual slavery for over a month, as reported by the press service of the Institute of Ombudsman. The teenager’s representative reached out to Kyrgyzstan’s Ombudsperson Jamilya Jamanbaeva, revealing that the girl had been subjected to punishment for any form of disobedience, with all acts being recorded on camera.
The distressing video depicts the girl undergoing abuse, beatings, threats of violence, forced nudity, and even having her eyebrows shaved off with a razor. She was reportedly “sold” to multiple men for intimate services, enduring unimaginable suffering throughout this horrifying ordeal. Furthermore, the video is currently being circulated on various messaging platforms.
In response, the Ombudsman has called upon law enforcement agencies to step in and ensure the safety of human trafficking victims. Emphasizing the need for strict punishment, Jamilya Jamanbaeva stated that those involved in such blatant criminal activities must face the full extent of the law.
The Institute of Ombudsman is actively working to provide legal aid and support for the victim through their authorized representative in Osh. The girl, who is in need of prolonged rehabilitation, is living in fear for her life as her abusers remain at large. Efforts are being made to locate and hold the perpetrators accountable for their heinous acts.
