
Telegraph Teen Thief Apprehended in Tashkent

A 20-year-old man from Tashkent, Uzbekistan has been arrested for stealing people’s bank card information and embezzling funds. N.A., a resident of the Yashnabad district, was apprehended by the cybersecurity department during a search and rescue operation. It was reported that a 35-year-old man from the Kashkadarya region had 43.2 million soums stolen from his bank card, leading to the investigation and eventual capture of N.A.
The young man reportedly targeted internet users by sending links with various content through the Telegram messenger. By tricking individuals into providing their bank card details, he was able to steal money from unsuspecting victims. A criminal case has been opened under Article 169-3 (Theft) of the Criminal Code, and investigations are currently underway.
