Ten Officials Charged in Criminal Cases in Ala-Buka
Cases of abuse of office by employees of the Kok-Tash and Ala-Buka ayil okmotu have been uncovered in Ala-Buka district, as reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office. The officials in question were found to have transferred budget funds to the accounts of contractors before the completion of various social facilities such as a kindergarten, hospital, park, landfill, and roads.
These actions resulted in significant damages to the state, totaling 56,107,652 soms, of which 11,024,973 soms have already been recovered. In response to these findings, the prosecutor’s office has initiated 10 criminal cases against the officials for abuse of office.
The Department of Internal Affairs of Ala-Buka district has been tasked with conducting further investigations into the matter. This development highlights the importance of ensuring transparency and accountability in the handling of public funds for infrastructure projects.
