Tennis National Team Selections to be Held by BRTK
The Turkish Tennis Federation is gearing up for national team selections for upcoming tournaments in Turkey. The tournaments are set to take place between November 25th and 29th.
According to the Federation’s program, players aged 10, 11, and 12 who rank in the top 8 in their age group will participate in the 12-year-old tournament. Meanwhile, players aged 13 and 14 who are in the top 8 at the age of 14 will compete in the 16-year-old tournament, with those in the top 8 for their age group also vying for a spot.
Furthermore, champions in their categories will have the opportunity to compete with a ‘wild card’ in the Turkey National Team Determination Tournament. The Tennis Federation also announced that, in accordance with a protocol between the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Turkish federations, one male and one female player will be given a ‘wild card’ in these categories.
This presents an exciting opportunity for young tennis players to showcase their skills and potentially secure a spot on the national team. The Federation’s focus on developing young talent and providing opportunities for players to excel is a promising sign for the future of Turkish tennis.
