Terrorists in Red Category Killed, Minister Yerlikaya Condemns Act
The Turkish Minister of Internal Affairs, Ali Yerlikaya, has announced the success of Operation Kahramanlar-32 in the Dargeçit district of Mardin in the fight against terrorism. The operation led to the neutralization of two terrorists who were involved in heinous actions, including the injuring of 12 individuals and the death of 5 martyrs.
The terrorists were spotted by two armed unmanned aerial vehicles after the Provincial Gendarmerie Command suspected that a vehicle contained individuals linked to terrorism. When the terrorists were found at a fuel station along the Dargeçit-Midyat highway, they were approached. Realizing that capture was inevitable, the two terrorists detonated themselves. One of the terrorists, Orhan Elma, was identified and was previously on the Ministry of Internal Affairs wanted list. Efforts to identify the second terrorist are ongoing.
It was found that the terrorist Orhan Elma was responsible for instructing four attacks that resulted in five martyrs and 12 injured individuals, with 10 of them being security officers.
Minister Yerlikaya has emphasized that the blood of the martyrs will not be shed in vain. He assured the nation that the fight against terrorism will continue with unwavering determination. He also commended the heroic efforts of the gendarmerie in carrying out the operation and expressed that the fight against terrorism and their collaborators will persist unceasingly.
