Töre Joins KIBTES’ Teachers’ Day Celebration
Zorlu Töre, the Acting President and President of the Assembly of the Republic, recently participated in the Teachers’ Day event hosted by the Turkish Cypriot Educators Union (KIBTES). During the event, President Töre extended his congratulations to all union member teachers, acknowledging the sacrifices and sacred duty involved in their work.
In a written statement released by the Parliament, Töre emphasized the significant role that teachers play in the development of individuals and societies. He highlighted the importance of nurturing individuals who will contribute to their nation, following the path laid out by Atatürk.
Töre also underscored the importance of instilling in future generations a deep love for their country and a strong understanding of their history, emphasizing that these qualities are essential for the security and prosperity of the TRNC.
As a gesture of appreciation, Töre presented plaques to teachers who have dedicated many years to their profession during the event.
