The Critical Role of International Humanitarian Law in World Peace and Security
The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan has announced a regional essay contest on the topic of “The role of international humanitarian law in maintaining peace and security on the planet.”
The competition is open to students and undergraduates of higher educational institutions in Central Asian countries, including Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. The main goal of the contest is to promote and spread knowledge about the fundamental principles of international humanitarian law among the general public.
Only individual-authored works in Russian will be accepted for the competition, and submissions must be sent to hhkafedra@gmail.com by April 15th. The results of the competition will be announced on the Institute’s website on May 1st, and the winning essays will be published in the scientific and practical journal “Foreign Policy and Diplomacy of Turkmenistan.”
