Minister Bolat Highlights Turkey’s Defense and Aviation Industry Achievements
Minister Bolat recently spoke at the “Global Strategies Conference in Defense and Aviation Industry,” held at the Belek Tourism Center in Antalya. During the conference, he emphasized the significant progress made in Turkey’s defense industry and its impact on the country’s diplomatic and economic standing.
Bolat revealed that during his 8.5 months as a minister, he participated in meetings in 25 countries and welcomed ministers from nearly 100 other countries. He stressed that the defense industry has brought not only economic benefits such as export income and production but also enhanced Turkey’s prestige and influence in international diplomacy and cooperation.
The minister also highlighted the importance of a strong defense industry in ensuring a country’s sovereignty and survival, emphasizing that without it, it is challenging for a country to thrive in its geographical location.
Furthermore, Bolat touched on the impressive growth of Turkey’s industrial and export capabilities, highlighting the country’s achievement of reaching over 1 billion dollars in exports per day. He emphasized the sector’s exponential growth, pointing out that the national income coming from industry has increased significantly over the years.
Bolat also touched on the importance of the defense industry in elevating Turkey’s global standing, making the country an essential supplier to many regions worldwide. He emphasized that Turkey’s success in the defense industry has led to the lifting of embargoes imposed on the country by several important nations.
Additionally, Defense Industry President Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün noted the impressive growth of the defense industry, particularly in exports, highlighting Turkey’s increasing influence and success in international markets. He emphasized the industry’s high-tech and high-value products, contributing significantly to the country’s technological and economic independence.
Bolat’s and Görgün’s remarks underscore the significant strides that Turkey has made in developing its defense and aviation industry, solidifying its place as a leading player in the international arena.
