The Polat Couple Faces More Bad News
The couple Engin Polat and Dilan Polat, who have been detained on trial for multiple crimes including money laundering and tax evasion, were involved in a car park fight at their mansion in Çekmeköy. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has prepared an indictment in which Dilan Polat faces up to 8 years and 4 months in prison for insulting, wounding, and threatening more than one person, while Engin Polat faces up to 11 years and 4 months for violating guest immunity.
The indictment comes after the car park fight incident, adding to the legal troubles for the couple. The image below shows the incident in Izmir where a man shot his grandfather after ringing the doorbell and hiding. This case adds to the string of violent incidents that have been occurring in Turkey and is being closely monitored by authorities.
It is yet to be seen how the legal proceedings will unfold for the Polat couple, but they are facing a significant amount of prison time if found guilty. The case serves as a reminder of the consequences of white-collar crimes and the impact they can have on individuals and families. The legal system will continue to monitor and prosecute individuals involved in such criminal activities to ensure justice is served.
