
The Turkmen Fairy Tale Park to Host Health Festival

ASHGABAT TO HOST CHILDREN’S HEALTH FESTIVAL: AN EVENT RESEMBLING “DISNEY LAND”
Ashgabat, the capital city of Turkmenistan, is gearing up to host the Children’s Health Festival on July 18. Known to the locals as “Disney Land,” this city park located in the heart of Ashgabat will be transformed into a recreational area called the Turkmen World of Fairytales (Türkmenbaşynyň Ertekiler Dünýäsi).
The festival will kick-off at 7:00 am and continue until 10:00 am, attracting young athletes specializing in roller skating, hockey, gymnastics, cycling, football, and basketball. The event aims to promote physical fitness and an active lifestyle among children of all ages.
The festival will see the participation of six teams, consisting of ten boys and girls aged 10 to 14, representing sports federations and clubs from Ashgabat. These young athletes, along with the festival’s attendees, will engage in various activities such as fun races, team games, speedy and witty competitions, and even yoga for children. Additionally, there will be bicycle races, a thrilling relay race featuring catamarans, and much more.
To ensure the safety and smooth operation of the sports games, coaches and volunteers will be present to oversee the activities. Moreover, the festive ambiance will be further enriched with musical performances, adding to the overall enjoyment of the participants and spectators alike.
