US Airstrikes Injure Russian Sailors at Yemeni Port of Ras Isa
On April 25, three Russian sailors were injured during U.S. strikes targeting the Yemeni port of Ras Isa, as reported by Houthi Foreign Minister Jamal Amer. The airstrikes hit an oil tanker that was preparing to unload its cargo, resulting in injuries to the crew members.
The injured sailors have been identified as Roman Kashpor, Igor Kazachenko, and Artyom Vanin. Following the attack, they were rescued by the coast guard and subsequently hospitalized for treatment.
Ras Isa is known as the largest oil loading port in the region controlled by the Houthi rebel movement, Ansar Allah. Located along the shores of the Red Sea in Yemen’s al-Hodeidah governorate, the port plays a crucial role in the country’s oil exports.
This incident highlights the ongoing tensions in the region and brings to light the risks faced by foreign nationals amid the conflict in Yemen.
