The Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan has released a report on the results of reviewing citizens’ appeals and internal investigations against its employees for the first quarter of 2025.
According to the agency, eight appeals were received from citizens and taxpayers regarding the actions of tax authority employees during the specified period. Seven of these appeals were submitted in writing, while one was submitted electronically. As of April 1, six of these appeals had been reviewed, with two still under consideration.
Out of the four applications that were checked, the facts stated in one appeal were confirmed, leading to disciplinary action against an employee of the territorial tax authority. One appeal was transferred to the State Committee for National Security for a legal opinion, while the facts stated in another were not confirmed.
In addition, the State Tax Service conducted six internal investigations during the first quarter, based on submissions from the Prosecutor General’s Office and service notes from structural divisions of the central office. Two violations were confirmed, one was not confirmed, and four investigations are still ongoing.
As a result of the confirmed violations, disciplinary measures were applied to two employees of territorial tax authorities. One employee was demoted, while another received a severe reprimand.
The State Tax Service highlighted that no complaints or statements containing information about corruption on the part of the department’s employees were recorded among all the appeals received during the quarter. This underscores the commitment of the Tax Service to maintaining integrity and accountability within the organization.
