Toktogul Reservoir Reaches Highest Water Level in Years at 12.1 Billion Cubic Meters
Bishkek – 24.kg news agency reported on December 13th that the water level in Toktogul reservoir has reached 12.177 billion cubic meters. This data was provided by the National Electric Networks of Kyrgyzstan OJSC.
According to the report, the average daily water inflow is at 186 cubic meters per second, while the outflow measures 840 cubic meters per second. Comparing these numbers to last year’s data on the same date, the inflow has slightly increased from 183 cubic meters per second, while the outflow has significantly risen from 664 cubic meters per second.
The volume of water in the reservoir has increased by 1 billion cubic meters compared to last year, when it was at 11.169 billion cubic meters. The difference in daily inflow and outflow for the year is 3 cubic meters per second and 176 cubic meters per second, respectively.
This information indicates positive growth in water levels in Toktogul reservoir, providing important data for water resource management and energy production in Kyrgyzstan.
