Tomorrow’s Parliamentary General Assembly Meeting – BRTK Update

President of the Assembly of the Republic, Zorlu Töre, has announced that the General Assembly meeting of the Assembly will be held tomorrow.

In a statement released by the Press Office of the Assembly of the Republic, it was revealed that the General Assembly meeting, originally scheduled for Monday, October 21, will now take place on October 18. This change was made in order to accommodate autopsy procedures following the death of retired commander Ali Bozdağlı, as well as the earthquake committee’s attendance at the ISIAS hearing in Adıyaman. The meeting will now be held tomorrow, October 18, 2024.

Töre had to leave the Parliament due to the death of his brother-in-law while the UBP Parliamentary Group was in the midst of deciding on a candidate for the Parliamentary Speaker. He informed the press that the meeting would be rescheduled for Monday. Subsequently, the Parliament issued a statement confirming that the meeting had been postponed to tomorrow.

Stay tuned for updates on the General Assembly meeting as more information becomes available.
