Kazakh Tourism Reveals Top 10 Hotels Chosen by Foreign Visitors in 2024
ASTANA – The Kazakh Tourism national company recently unveiled a list of the top 10 hotels that were most frequently chosen by foreign visitors in 2024. The data was collected from the eQonaq system, as reported by the company’s press service on Jan. 20.
Leading the list was Hotel Kazakhstan in Almaty, which attracted a total of 30,412 foreign guests. Following closely behind was the Holiday Inn, also located in Almaty, with 15,619 visitors. The Sheraton Astana Hotel secured the third spot with 14,790 guests.
One notable change in the rankings was seen with Rixos Water World Aktau, which climbed four spots from the previous year to claim the fourth position, hosting over 14,500 foreign tourists. Conversely, Rixos Almaty dropped three spots to fifth place, welcoming 12,600 visitors.
Occupying the sixth through ninth positions were Almaty hotels, including Mercure Almaty City Center (12,200 visitors), InterContinental Almaty (11,200), Best Western Plus Atakent Park Hotel (11,200), and Rahat Palace Hotel (11,100). The top ten list was rounded out by Hilton Astana.
In total, more than 1.5 million foreign tourists chose to stay in accommodations registered in the eQonaq system in 2024, highlighting the popularity of these selected hotels among international visitors.
