Top Baby Names for 2024 Revealed in Kyrgyzstan
The Ministry of Digital Development in Kyrgyzstan has released data on the most popular names for newborns in the first half of 2024. According to the report, the top name for girls was Saliha, while for boys it was Muhammad.
In the list of the top 10 most popular names for boys, Muhammad took the lead with 3,667 occurrences, followed by Umar, Ali, Ramazan, Amir, Bilal, Usman, Alikhan, Nurislam, and Muhammed.
Among the girls, Salih was the most popular name with 2,043 occurrences, followed by Fatima, Ailin, Morning, Amina, Aliya, Rayana, Aisha, Khadicha, and Rice.
The data revealed that a total of at least 33,370 girls and 35,359 boys were born in Kyrgyzstan during the six months covered in the report.
The Ministry emphasized the importance of registering the birth of a child and provided information on how parents can do so. They can either file an application through the State Portal of Electronic Services online or visit any Public Service Center or interregional departments of the Population Registration Department.
