Top Outbound Tourism Destinations from Uzbekistan Revealed
The number of Uzbekistan citizens traveling abroad for tourism has significantly increased in the first quarter of 2024. According to the Statistics Agency, nearly 1.3 million people embarked on trips for leisure purposes, marking a 40.7 percent rise from the same period in the previous year.
Kyrgyzstan emerged as the most popular destination for Uzbekistanis, attracting 559.1 thousand visitors. Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, and Russia followed suit in the ranking of countries visited by Uzbekistan tourists. The top ten list also included the UAE, Turkey, Kuwait, Egypt, and Thailand.
Overall, the increase in outbound travel signals a growing interest in exploring new destinations and experiencing diverse cultures for citizens of Uzbekistan. It will be interesting to see how this trend continues to evolve in the coming months.
