Tragedy strikes as over 900 killed during Hajj in Saudi Arabia
The recent tragic events during the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia have led to a devastating death toll surpassing 900, with over 600 of the victims being Egyptians. The Times of India has reported that friends and relatives are frantically searching for their loved ones who perished in the scorching heat of Mecca, where temperatures rose to a staggering +51.8 degrees Celsius.
The pilgrimage, which saw a total of 1.8 million participants, was predominantly made up of elderly and sick individuals. Among the deceased were also 68 Indian citizens, adding to the already alarming number of fatalities.
