Tragic Accident: 9-Year-Old Boy Fatally Shoots Uncle in Konya
A tragic incident occurred in Konya, where a 9-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed his uncle while playing with a gun. The incident took place in a single-storey house on Beykoz Street in Sultan Mesut District, Karatay district.
The boy, identified by the initials Ş.U., found the gun that his father, Kurtuluş U., had cleaned and left on the table. While playing with the firearm, the gun accidentally fired, hitting Ş.U.’s uncle, İzzet U., in the chest.
Family members immediately contacted the authorities, and both the police and medical team arrived at the scene. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, İzzet U. tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Following the incident, Ş.U. and his father Kurtuluş U. were taken to the police station for questioning. The investigation into the tragic event is ongoing.
