Tragic Death of 3.5-Year-Old Boy After Rope Incident
A heartbreaking incident occurred in the Belediye Sitesi Neighborhood of Kilimli district, where a 3.5-year-old boy, Efe Mahmut Kalfa, lost his life after a rope got wrapped around his neck. The devastating event took place on Hal Street in the evening on the bottom floor of a 3-storey house.
Reportedly, Efe’s mother, identified as CK, went out to dispose of the garbage and upon her return, she found her son lying motionless in the living room with a rope around his throat. Distraught by the situation, she cried out for help which alerted a neighbor from upstairs. The neighbor swiftly came to assist and managed to cut the tracksuit string with a knife. However, despite the efforts made, it was determined by medical teams that the young child had tragically passed away.
Following the incident, Efe Mahmut Kalfa’s body was taken to the morgue of Atatürk State Hospital for an autopsy. Meanwhile, the parents, identified as CK and MK, were brought in for questioning at the police station. The father, MK, later arrived at the morgue accompanied by authorities and was overcome with grief as he mourned the loss of his son.
As the investigation into this heartbreaking occurrence continues, the community mourns the loss of a young life and hopes for answers to shed light on this tragic incident.
