Tragic Death of Woman Crushed by Excavation Truck in Beşiktaş
A tragic accident occurred at 11:00 am on Emirhan Street in Beşiktaş, Istanbul. A 71-year-old woman named Suzan Tuna Kahveci was hit by an excavation truck driven by Ekrem A. while she was trying to cross the road.
The impact of the collision caused Kahveci to be trapped between the rear tires of the truck, resulting in serious injuries. Emergency services arrived at the scene promptly and managed to remove Kahveci from underneath the truck. She was then rushed to Dr. Cemil Taşcıoğlu City Hospital for treatment.
Despite the efforts of medical staff, Kahveci tragically succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. The driver of the excavation truck was taken into custody for questioning. Reports indicate that the driver claimed Kahveci had entered the path of his vehicle unexpectedly.
