Tragic Loss: Family of Martyr Dies in Ravine Accident on way to Funeral
Two people were killed and four people were injured in a tragic accident as they were on their way to attend the funeral of Contracted Infantry Private Maşallah Abakay, who was martyred in the Operation Claw-Lock region in northern Iraq. The pickup truck carrying the relatives of the martyr overturned into a ditch, causing devastation for the grieving family.
Contracted Private Maşallah Abakay was martyred during an infiltration attempt by members of the separatist terrorist organization in the Claw Lock operation area. His family had come to Muş to pay their respects and attend his funeral, but the journey took a tragic turn when the pickup truck lost control and overturned in the Şenyayla region.
Emergency services were quickly dispatched to the scene of the accident upon notification. Tragically, Zümrüt Atış lost her life in the incident, and five others were injured, including Pihan Atış who could not be saved despite medical intervention at Muş State Hospital.
Governor of Muş Avni Çakır expressed his sorrow over the accident, stating that the vehicle carrying the relatives of martyr Abakay had rolled into a ditch. He confirmed that one person had lost their life, while the others sustained injuries with one in serious condition.
