Military Vehicle Accident in Colombia Leaves 9 Soldiers Dead and 20 Injured
A tragic accident in the La Columpia region of Barbacoas town in the Narino administration zone of Colombia has left 9 soldiers dead and 20 others injured. The incident occurred when a military vehicle rolled into a 100-meter cliff, causing devastating consequences.
Army Commander General Luis Emilio Cardozo Santamaria expressed his gratitude to the civil defense for their support and assistance during the aftermath of the accident. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the tragic incident.
Colombian President Gustavo Petro also extended his condolences to the families of the soldiers who lost their lives in the accident. He described the incident as a sad and unfortunate event, acknowledging the sacrifice made by these soldiers in service to their homeland.
Petro emphasized the loss suffered by the Colombian people as a whole, stating, “The sons of the homeland and the Colombian people lost their lives in a traffic accident. A very sad accident. I wish all families condolences. I am very sorry for the accident.”
