Tragic Murder: Elderly Woman Mistaken for Pig Shot in Garden
A tragic incident occurred on Mehmet Zaman Street in Çaydamar District, where a 80-year-old woman lost her life in a case of mistaken identity. Serment B. (50) heard a noise in his garden and grabbed his rifle to investigate the source of the disturbance. Believing that there was a pig in his garden, Serment B. fired his rifle, only to realize that he had fatally wounded Senem Ç. (80) instead.
After discovering the mistake, Serment B. quickly called for help from the health and police teams. Paramedics arrived on the scene and provided first aid to Senem Ç. before rushing her to the hospital. Tragically, despite the efforts of medical staff, Senem Ç. succumbed to her injuries. Following the incident, Serment B. was taken into police custody, and an investigation into the matter has been launched.
Subsequent to the police procedures, Serment B. was brought to Zonguldak Courthouse for further questioning. It has been revealed that Senem Ç. had garnered public attention in the past due to the accumulation of garbage in her home, which was later cleaned up by municipal teams.
