Police Officer Martyred on Duty in Traffic Accident
A tragic incident occurred on the Cizre-Nusaybin highway near the village of Çığır, where police officer Zeki Bacak lost his life while trying to intervene in a traffic accident on April 20. The accident was caused by a driver who veered out of their lane and collided with Officer Bacak, causing him serious injuries. Despite the efforts of medical staff at Cizre State Hospital, Officer Bacak tragically passed away in the evening.
The driver responsible for the accident was taken into custody following the incident. The Governor’s Office of Sirnak released a statement on social media, expressing their condolences to Officer Bacak’s family and the nation.
