Transfer of Sapat Property to Turkish Maarif Foundation
The international educational institution Sapat transfers ownership to Turkish Maarif Foundation
On January 2, 2025, all property and assets of the international educational institution Sapat were officially handed over to the Turkish Maarif Foundation. This significant transfer of ownership was announced on the organization’s Facebook account.
The Maarif Foundation will now bear full legal responsibility for all future activities previously managed by Sapat. This decision came after the Cabinet of Ministers declared on December 31, 2024, that the management of the Sapat educational institution network would be transferred to the Maarif Foundation. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Edil Baisalov, stated that this move was made in the best interest of the students and pupils of the republic, taking into consideration the foundation’s reputable status as a dependable partner in the educational sector.
Despite the decision being made in the interest of the students and pupils, it came as a surprise to the staff, students, and parents of Sapat. The founders of the institution have expressed their intention to protect their rights within the legal framework of Kyrgyzstan and international law.
This transition marks a new chapter for the Sapat educational institution network under the management of the Turkish Maarif Foundation. Time will tell how this change will impact the educational landscape and the stakeholders involved.
