Truck Crash Causes Gas Leak, Disrupting Supply to Two Neighborhoods in Tashkent
A truck crashed into a high-pressure gas pipeline in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent on the night of February 26, causing a leak and disrupting gas supply to two neighborhoods and several businesses.
The incident has resulted in the temporary cut-off of gas supply for 300 households in the Bogbon neighborhood, 400 households in the Argin neighborhood, as well as 15 wholesale consumers.
An emergency crew from the district gas supply department is currently carrying out repair work to fix the damaged pipeline.
Once the emergency restoration work is completed, gas supply will be resumed with prior notification to consumers to ensure their safety.
This accident serves as a reminder of the importance of safe driving practices near industrial areas to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
