Tunisia Returns to Hungarian City After 10-Year Absence
After a ten-year hiatus, Tunisia is back on the map of destinations available from Debrecen International Airport. For the first time in a decade, Kartago Tours will be offering a charter flight to Monastir on 4 June, reconnecting travellers with the popular Tunisian destination.
The charter service, which will operate once a week on Tuesdays throughout the summer season until 24 September, marks a significant milestone for Debrecen International Airport. The first flight was operated by a Smartwings Boeing 737 aircraft, with passengers being welcomed by key representatives from Kartago Tours, the Tunisian Tourist Office, and Debrecen International Airport Ltd.
Travellers taking advantage of this new flight will have the opportunity to explore Tunisia’s rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, pristine beaches, and delicious local cuisine. Kartago Tours CEO, Zsófia Bocsák, expressed her delight at bringing back the weekly Monastir charter service to Debrecen after a decade, emphasizing the convenience and ease it offers to travellers.
In addition to Monastir, Kartago Tours is also offering package deals to the Turkish Riviera and the Greek island of Corfu from Debrecen Airport this summer season. This expansion of destinations further strengthens Kartago Tours’ commitment to the Eastern Hungary region.
With the resumption of flights to Tunisia and other exciting destinations, Debrecen International Airport continues to enhance its offerings and provide travellers with a wide range of options for their next adventure.
