Turkey Makes Strong Showing at World Defense Show in Riyadh
Türkiye has made its presence known in the world defense industry market at the World Defense Show held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 4-8 February. Turkish companies occupied 15 percent of the fair area, drawing significant attention to their locally and nationally produced products.
Notably, the Turkish defense industry was represented not only by large companies but also by subcontractors. Haluk Görgün, President of the Defense Industry, attended the fair and engaged in bilateral discussions.
Görgün commented on the fair, stating, “We are the second largest participant at the World Defense Show, with sixty-three companies. The distinguished companies from Turkey and their products attracted considerable interest throughout the day. Even though the fairground closed 1.5 hours ago, the stands of our companies are still full. We are meeting with officials and ministers from various countries with whom we have relations.”
Furthermore, Turkish companies at the fair are aiming to establish a network in all defense fields. They are engaging in discussions not only for platform sales, but also for subsystem and ammunition sales while exploring potential export opportunities.
The strong showing of Turkish defense industry at the World Defense Show highlights the country’s capabilities and the quality of its products. With an impressive number of participants and a strong presence in the fair, Turkey has reaffirmed its position as a key player in the global defense industry.
