Şanlıurfa, a province in Turkey, has been identified as the city with the highest child population rate in 2023. According to recent data, 44.4 percent of the total population in Şanlıurfa falls within the 0-17 age group, making it the province with the highest concentration of children.
Following closely behind Şanlıurfa are Şırnak, Ağrı, and Muş, with child population rates of 40.5 percent, 38.2 percent, and 38.2 percent respectively. On the other hand, Tunceli has been reported as the province with the lowest child population rate at 16.5 percent, with Edirne and Kırklareli trailing behind with rates of 17.5 percent and 18.3 percent.
In terms of households, the total number in 2023 was recorded as 26 million 309 thousand 332. Of these households, 43.6 percent have at least one child in the 0-17 age group.
