Three Brothers Linked to PKK/KCK European Structure Arrested in Turkey

In a joint operation by the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and the police, three siblings connected to the PKK/KCK European structure were apprehended. Zeynep TAŞKIRAN and Zübeyde TAŞKIRAN were captured in Istanbul, while Hatın ŞAHBAZ was detained in Balıkesir. Following their arrests, the three brothers were presented to judicial authorities who ordered them to be remanded in prison.

Zeynep TAŞKIRAN, a member of the PKK/KCK, was closely monitored by MİT for an extended period. She was found to have actively participated in actions and events organized against Turkey by the French arm of the PKK/KCK. Intelligence reports revealed that Zeynep TAŞKIRAN assumed the identity of Zizik ŞAHBAZ after acquiring German citizenship to carry out organizational activities.

Another sibling, Hatın ŞAHBAZ, was identified as being actively involved in propaganda campaigns conducted by the PKK/KCK, especially during significant events in Germany, Cologne, and France, Paris.

The third sister, Zübeyde TAŞKIRAN, previously belonging to the rural staff of the PKK/KCK, changed her name to Denise TAŞKIRAN after becoming a German citizen and continued her illicit activities under this new identity.

The operation against the trio provided crucial insights into the European network of the PKK/KCK, shedding light on the various activities and actions carried out on behalf of the organization across multiple European countries.
