Coast Guard Rescues 41 Irregular Immigrants off the Coast of Ayvacık

The Coast Guard Northern Aegean Group Command recently sprung into action after receiving reports of irregular immigrants on a rubber boat sailing off the coast of Ayvacık. The teams, consisting of the “TCSG-6”, “TCSG-28”, “KB-4305”, and “KB-4510” coast guard boats, swiftly directed their efforts towards the region and successfully rescued 41 individuals.

Among those rescued were 7 children, all of whom were from Afghanistan and Turkmenistan. After being disembarked, the foreign nationals were taken to the Ayvacık Foreigners Repatriation Center where necessary procedures would be carried out.

The Coast Guard’s quick response and efficient rescue operation have once again highlighted their dedication to safeguarding the seas and protecting lives. Their efforts in preventing illegal migration and ensuring the safety of individuals at sea are truly commendable.
