Turkish Buses Ready to Roll into Bishkek
New Buses with Air Conditioners and Disability Accessibility Features to Arrive in Bishkek
A new batch of buses from Turkey is set to arrive in Bishkek, as announced by the city’s Vice Mayor Zhamalbek Yrsaliev on Birinchi Radio. As of October 21, there are currently 1,376 buses in the capital, with 1,070 buses and 108 trolleybuses operating on a daily basis. The upcoming arrival of 35 new buses by November 20 will further enhance the city’s public transportation system.
These new buses come equipped with air conditioners and lifting mechanisms to assist people with disabilities. In addition, they will run on gas, making them more environmentally friendly. The vice mayor noted that the buses from this new batch will be designated for express routes, including services to Manas International Airport.
The introduction of these modern and accessible buses is seen as a positive development for Bishkek, as it aims to improve the quality of public transportation for residents and visitors alike.
