Subsequently, 31 suspects, including Mayor Akpolat, were referred to the judgeship with a request for arrest, while 8 suspects were released under judicial control.

It has been reported that 1 deputy chief prosecutor and 9 prosecutors have been assigned to take further statements from the suspects involved in the case, including Beşiktaş Mayor Akpolat.

Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer, who was detained as part of the investigation and was previously arrested and suspended for alleged involvement in terrorism, will have his testimony taken from prison via the Audio and Video Information System (SEGBİS).
