Turkish Carpet Exports to Turkmenistan Hit $4.9 Million in 11 Months
The trade between Turkmenistan and Turkey in the carpet industry continues to show positive growth, with the volume of Turkish carpet deliveries to Turkmenistan reaching $4.9 million in the first eleven months of 2024.
According to recent data, Turkmenistan purchased carpets from Turkey worth $225,085 thousand in November 2024, marking a 14.2% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. The overall export of carpets from Turkey for January–November 2024 also saw a 5% year-on-year growth, reaching $2.6 billion.
The consistent rise in carpet exports to Turkmenistan highlights the mutual interest of both countries in high-quality carpets and the deepening of economic cooperation. Trade between Turkmenistan and Turkey in the first eight months of 2024 amounted to $1.532 billion, showing a 16% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
This trend underscores the strong economic ties between Turkmenistan and Turkey and bodes well for further collaboration in the future.
