Turkish Government Official Predicts Significant Milestone in 2023
AK Party Deputy Chairman Numan Kurtulmuş has given a speech on TRT, promoting the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections which will be held on May 14. He compared the election with the 1950 election, when Turkey shifted from single-party rule to a multi-party political system. Kurtulmuş mentioned the important role that leaders such as Menderes, Özal, Erbakan, and Muhsin Yazicoğlu played in serving Turkey over the past 73 years. He also highlighted the developments that have taken place under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the AK Party governments, which have benefited all regions of Turkey.
Kurtulmuş stressed that the upcoming election is not just about who will become president but about deciding the direction that Turkey will take in the future. He acknowledged that there are difficulties, but he assured the public that measures have been taken to increase the purchasing power of citizens. He stated that Turkey will never compromise on economic growth and democracy.
The AK Party’s efforts to win the election have received a boost, with President Erdogan calling on the citizens of Turkey to vote in large numbers for the party. He has promised that no individual in the country will lose out, and urged everyone to participate in the democratic process.
