Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler Visits Bosnia and Herzegovina
Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler recently visited Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of his official visit. His first stop was at the Kovaçi Martyrs’ Cemetery, where he paid his respects by leaving flowers at the Unknown Soldier Monument and Izetbegovic’s grave. Ambassador Sadık Babür Girgin joined Minister Güler during the visit.
During the visit, Turkey’s Sarajevo Religious Services Counselor Mustafa Güvenç read the Holy Quran and led a prayer ceremony. Minister Güler was also welcomed with a military ceremony by Zukan Helez, Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the Ministry of Defense headquarters.
Following the military ceremony, Minister Güler and Minister Helez engaged in private discussions and chaired meetings between their respective delegations. Prior to visiting the Ministry of Defense, Minister Güler received a briefing on the work being done by the Embassy of Turkey in Sarajevo from Ambassador Sadık Babür Girgin.
