
Turkish Minister Uraloğlu Travels to Djibouti – Breaking News on the Internet

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, is set to embark on an official visit to Djibouti from 4-6 February 2024. The purpose of the visit is to attend the 5th Term Meeting of the Turkey-Djibouti Joint Economic Commission (KEK).
During his visit, Minister Uraloğlu will participate in the Turkey-Djibouti JEC 5th Term Meeting and will also have a bilateral meeting with Djibouti Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf.
The meeting will be focused on discussing ways to increase and develop existing commercial and economic relations between Turkey and Djibouti. Additionally, issues such as improving the investment environment, completing the legal framework, and identifying new cooperation opportunities in various sectors including agriculture, water, youth and sports, education, health, science, energy and mining, environment and urban planning, and transportation will be addressed.
Following the meeting, Minister Uraloğlu will be received by Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh and will attend the official opening ceremony of the Turkey-Djibouti Friendship Dam, a significant project for the development of Djibouti. He will also meet with Djibouti Minister of Infrastructure and Equipment, Hassan Houmed Mohammed, and attend the opening ceremony of Istanbul Square in Djibouti City.
The visit underscores the commitment of both Turkey and Djibouti to strengthening their economic and diplomatic ties, and to exploring new areas of cooperation for mutual benefit.
