Turkish Company to Invest $50 Million in Military Footwear Production in Uzbekistan

Warboots, a Turkish company, has announced plans to invest $50 million in the production of military footwear in Uzbekistan. The project will be implemented in the Akhangaran small industrial zone, with an initial investment of $15 million.

The decision to invest in Uzbekistan comes after representatives of the company and its member leather and footwear companies reached agreements with local enterprises at a forum in Bursa, Türkiye. These agreements include plans to produce goods under Turkish brands and supply footwear to Türkiye based on outsourcing.

Additionally, companies San+One and KFK, with the brand Gratto, are exploring the possibility of opening joint production in Uzbekistan and exporting products to Italy and the CIS countries. Initially, the products will be manufactured in Türkiye, but there are plans to relocate part of the production capacities to the republic in the future.

Upon the launch of the factory, which is expected to create over 4,000 jobs, footwear exports are projected to reach $700 million. In March, representatives of Warboots will visit Uzbekistan to assess land plots and local production capabilities.

In addition to Warboots, the Turkish brand Myfit is considering placing orders for the production of its products on an outsourcing basis at Uzbek enterprises. Preliminary agreements have already been reached on creating sample models of products and supplying raw materials.

Furthermore, Magna Sport and Bursa Eldiven Sanayi have agreed on the production of gloves needed for the industry and construction. The parties are set to sign an agreement on product exports in March and will discuss the possibility of creating new joint production a month later.

The influx of investment and partnerships between Turkish and Uzbek companies in the footwear and leather industry is expected to boost economic growth and create new opportunities for both countries.
