Türkiye Celebrates 101 Years of Republic
The 101st anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye is being celebrated with various ceremonies and events in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
The first ceremony for the 29th of October Republic Day will take place in front of the Atatürk Monument in Nicosia at 09:30. Following this, a cortege will be held in Dereboyu, the capital city, at 14:30.
In addition to the celebrations in Nicosia, ceremonies will also take place in Famagusta, Kyrenia, Güzelyurt, Iskele, and Lefke to mark the occasion of the 29th October Republic Day.
To further commemorate the anniversary, Turkey’s Embassy in Nicosia is organizing a reception today at 18:00 at the Embassy residence. Additionally, a concert was held at the Kyrenia Amphitheatre last night in honor of the 101st anniversary of the Republic.
The concert featured performances by the Antakya Civilizations Choir and was well-received by the attendees, who listened with great admiration. The celebrations and events serve as a reminder of the rich history and strong ties between Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
