Turkmen Pianist Wins Honorary Title at International Competition “Winter’s Tale”

Young Turkmen pianist Akmelek Nuriyeva, a talented third-grade student of the Special Music Boarding School at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kulieva, recently showcased her musical skills at the X International Children’s Competition "Winter’s Tale." The competition, organized by the Center for Creative Development of Children "Mosaic of Talents" in Moscow, Russia, was a platform for young musicians to display their talents.

Competing in the "Piano Solo" category for ages 7-8, Akmelek Nuriyeva delivered captivating performances of two pieces. She played "Little Prelude" by Johann Sebastian Bach and "Dreams" by Polish composer Henryk Pachulski with grace and precision.

The jury, comprised of distinguished Russian teachers, was impressed by Akmelek Nuriyeva’s musical abilities. As a result, she was awarded two prizes: a 2nd degree laureate diploma for her rendition of "Dreams" by G. Pakhulsky and a 3rd degree laureate diploma for her performance of "Little Prelude" by I. S. Bach.

Furthermore, the jury recognized the exceptional teaching skills of Akmelek Nuriyeva’s teacher, Ida Grigoryevna Osipova.
