Turkmen Schoolchildren Participate in International Zhautykov Olympiad in Astana
Schoolchildren from Turkmenistan are currently participating in the XXI International Zhautykov Olympiad for schoolchildren in Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics “IZhO 2025” in Astana. The event is taking place from January 13 to 17 at the Republican Physics and Mathematics School under the supervision of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center “Daryn” under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of the city of Astana.
With approximately 700 schoolchildren and 150 supervisors from 15 countries, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, and Mongolia, the Olympiad is a platform for young minds to showcase their skills and knowledge in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics.
Participants of the Olympiad will receive certificates of participation and commemorative gifts, while winners and runners-up will be awarded diplomas of various degrees, as well as gold, silver, and bronze medals.
The Zhautykov Olympiad has been held since 2005 with the goal of promoting physical and mathematical sciences among students, fostering friendly relations between specialized schools from different countries, exchanging experiences, and showcasing the level of education and culture in Kazakhstan. This year marks the first time the event is being held in Astana.
